Of particular note is the tendency of leaders to charge ahead in the mistaken belief that their enthusiasm will naturally be contagious. Yes, leaders do of course need to motivate and inspire, but it has to be done intelligently. The steps that Ron gives, coupled with those identified in Kotter's 8-Step Change Process, will vastly improve the chances of success.
